Curie is based in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Curie is the first company in the United States to offer a recycling program for Am-241 containing smoke alarms generated by home owners and industry. Our CuriePack program consists of a 5 gallon accumulation container, compliant DOT markings and a prepaid UPS shipping label. When a CuriePack is received at our facility, the plastic and printed circuit boards are recycled and the Am-241 foil is managed at a NRC licensed facility for final disposition. Curie also offers radioactive waste/materials brokerage services along with radiation surveys and NORM management.
