Why We Raised a $28M Series B to Power the Future of Waste Hauling

Introduction

Raising a Series B doesn’t change our mission; it reinforces it. We’re here to level the playing field for haulers, giving them the tools they’ve long deserved. We’re here to listen more than we talk, build with intention, and never lose sight of who we’re serving. To our customers: thank you for trusting us. To our investors: thank you for believing in our vision. To our team: thank you for putting in the work to make it real.

Nine years ago, I was running a family-owned hauling company, navigating early mornings, dispatch boards, and the daily grind of keeping trucks on the road and customers happy. Like many haulers, we relied on paper tickets, phone calls, and muscle memory to keep things moving. And it worked… until it didn’t.

We realized quickly that we needed a way to differentiate ourselves. Dispatching still happened with magnets and whiteboards. Routing decisions were made from experience, not data. Critical revenue was lost in the shuffle of paper. Our family-owned businesses were being outpaced by better-funded players, not because of service, but because of software and resources. We searched for a solution that could give us advantages, but came up short. We wanted something that would impress our current and future customers while helping us do more with less.

That’s what inspired CurbWaste. We set out to build modern tools that give independent haulers the power to run smoother operations, grow faster, and reclaim time for what matters most – their people, their families, and their customers.

Today, I’m proud to share that CurbWaste has raised $28 million in Series B funding to accelerate that mission.

The round was led by Socium Ventures, with participation from Flourish Ventures, TTV Capital, B Capital Group, and new strategic partner SquarePoint Capital. This brings our total funding to $50 million, and more importantly, gives us the resources to double down on building the operating system this industry truly deserves.

We raised it because haulers deserve enterprise-grade technology without losing what makes them special: their independence, relationships, and deep ties to the community. The Series B allows us to keep leveling the playing field so family-owned operations can compete on service and efficiency, not just size.

Independent haulers have been underserved for decades. Many are still running on outdated, disconnected systems, or no systems at all. But that’s changing fast. The U.S. waste management software market is on track to nearly double by 2030, and digitization is no longer optional. It’s the key to winning contracts, staying compliant, and staying competitive.

Beyond operational gains, our mission is rooted in delivering meaningful and measurable improvements for business owners and their teams. Over the past 12 months, our customers have collected 2.1 million tons of waste, improved their cash flow by 20% and grown 30%+ outpacing the industry averages. Modernizing, coupled with the intangibles that make our customers special, is a formula that is working.

From day one, CurbWaste was built with our customers’ needs in mind. That means sitting in dispatch rooms, riding on routes, and listening to what’s really broken. Today, our platform powers over 150 haulers across the country, from small mom-and-pop operations to large regional fleets. And we’re just getting started.

The next chapter of CurbWaste is about growth, scale, and deepening our impact – and we couldn’t be more excited to get to work. If you share our passion for building tech that actually serves the people who keep our cities running, we’re hiring.
